• All notes, images, voice recordings, and TODO items are stored locally on your device, ensuring your data remains private.
• Data is not automatically sent to our servers or third parties without your explicit consent.
• If you choose to connect to external AI services (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini), your data will be sent to those services only for processing and is subject to their privacy policies.
• Local AI options (Ollama, LM Studio) process everything on your device with no data transmission.

2. Collection of Personal Information

• We do not collect personal information from your notes, voice recordings, or images when processing locally.
• When using optional cloud sync or AI features, we may process account information and payment details to manage subscriptions.

3. Use of Information

• Your data is used solely to provide the app's services: creating notes, voice transcription, TODO conversion, and AI processing.
• Optional use of cloud-based AI services is only for transcription or text processing as explicitly requested by you.

4. Voice Input & AI Transcription

• BoringNote supports multiple AI transcription services: Apple Intelligence, OpenAI Whisper, and Parakeet.
• Apple Intelligence processes on-device when available, keeping your audio data local.
• All transcribed text is stored locally on your device.
• You can choose which transcription service to use or disable voice input entirely.

5. AI Language Model Integration

• BoringNote integrates with AI services (ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Ollama, LM Studio) to help you process and enhance your notes.
• When you use cloud-based AI services (ChatGPT, Gemini), your note content is sent to those services for processing according to their privacy policies.
• Local AI models (Ollama, LM Studio) run entirely on your device with no data transmission.
• You control when and what content is sent to AI services. No automatic processing occurs without your action.

6. Data Sharing

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties.
• Data shared with third-party AI services you choose to use is only used for processing and subject to their respective privacy policies.

7. Security

• BoringNote uses local storage wherever possible to minimize the risk of data leaks.
• All data is encrypted during transmission when using cloud services.
• We follow industry-standard security practices to protect any account information.

8. Cookies and Analytics

• The App does not use tracking cookies or collect analytics data by default.
• If you opt in for optional telemetry or crash reports, any data collected will be anonymous and used only to improve the app.

9. Data Storage & Retention

• All notes, voice recordings, images, comments, and TODO items are stored locally on your device.
• You may delete any notes, recordings, or data at any time through the app.
• BoringNote does not retain copies of your data on external servers unless you enable optional cloud sync.

10. User Rights

• You may delete any or all of your data at any time through the app.
• You have the right to access, correct, or restrict processing of your personal information.
• You can export your notes and data at any time.
• You can disable voice input, cloud sync, or AI integrations through app settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Changes will be posted in the App or on our website, and continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updates.
